– There will be two tournaments running throughout the day –

For all participants we will be running a Pin-golf tournament with 18 holes. The top 12 players will progress to a ladder match final. For the ladies tournament, a Max Matchplay event of 20 x head to head games will be played, plus a round of finals at the end. Practise and registration from 10am, both tournaments begin at 11am. There will be a break for lunch at a suitable point in the Matchplay rounds.

To celebrate the first anniversary of Medway Pinball Club, we will be hosting two tournaments on Saturday 16th to Sunday 17th September!

Saturday: Max Matchplay

• Join us for a 10:30 start for a Max Matchplay competition. All players will play an equal number of head to head games over approx 4 hours (this will be 24 games, or less if there are fewer players signed up). Each game will be against a different player. Not everyone will be playing at once, so you’ll have time to wait inbetween games. If you have been to one of the Pinhaus competitions before – you’ll know how it works! There will then be a final for the top 16 players held as a group matchplay, with 1 game per round. Games chosen by top seed for each group. The top 2 players from each game will go through to the next round until 4 players remain. The finals will be 3 games (chosen randomly), scored as 4-2-1-0. Timings: Start 11:00, lunch 13:00 – 13:30, then 13:30 – 15:30 (approx) – Finals: 15:30 (approx) onwards

Sunday: Best Game

• Join us for a Best Game format with a twist from 11am! On arrival (before entering the venue) you will be assigned a scoresheet of 10 games – everyone will be assigned a random set of 10 games from the games at Medway. You will play your 10 games and note the scores on your paper (getting someone to verify each). There will be an equal number of players on each table (as much as possible). Qualifying will remain open until 14:30. The top 16 players will then go forward for a group matchplay, consisting of 3 x 4 player games for the top 16 players. Games chosen randomly (avoiding duplicates as much as possible), with top 2 players then going through to the next round. The final 4 will then play 3 games, scored as 4-2-1-0 (games chosen randomly). Timings: Qualifying: 11:00 – 14:30 – Finals: 15:00 onwards

Max capacity is 50 players each day. Entry (per day) is £25 (under-16s: £12). Payment on the day by card or cash. Both events will have trophies for the top 3 players and medals for the top 3 under 16s.

Pizza and Pinball – Sunday 28th May 2023 – 10am for 11am Start

We bring you even more Pizza and Pinball!

The format will be a standard Matchplay tournament of twelve 4-player (or 3-player) rounds with a pizza break at half-time. Final positions will be calculated by Matchplay (no play-offs/final rounds) to help us keep to time and allow for a quick getaway at the end.

Entry will be £25, under-16s £12. Payment on the day by card or cash. Pre-registration via the link below, with a limit of 50 players so don’t leave it too late (We will operate a waiting list – Please check our Facebook group for updates nearer the day). Practice from 10am, tournament begins promptly at 11am.

UK Pinball League- Sunday 26th February 2023

Medway Pinball is proud to be hosting the first meet of the 2023 season of the London and South East region of the UK Pinball League which was set up in 2006 as the first pinball league in the UK. It is currently divided into six separate regions – South West, Midlands, London & South East, Northern, Scottish and Irish. The league gives you a chance to play a wide variety of pinball machines against players of varying standards in a friendly and sociable atmosphere. Anyone is welcome to join the UK Pinball League at any time of the season. Please contact the co-ordinator of your region for more information.
